Fun Run

For the early risers, the athletically inclined, the familes or even just those wanting to shake off the cobwebs in preparation for the Belfast 4 Haiti gig we are also putting on a 5k “fun run”.
To be honest, the emphasis here is much more on the FUN than the RUN. We expect everyone from Mums and Dads pushing kids in buggies to hungover students and elite athletes to be taking part.
The event will be happening in Ormeau Park in Belfast at 11am on the 31st. A perfect time to come along and get your daily exercise in before heading on down to the Limelight / Spring & Airbrake / Katy Daly’s to check out the bands.
The cost for the race is £10 for adults, £5 for under 16’s and a family discount is available for £20.
As with the gig, all money raised is going direct to the Disasters Emergency Committee
You can register by visting our registration page or you can just turn up on the day and register. Registration on the day will be available in the OZone in Ormeau Park right up until 15 minutes before the run.
For updates, check back here and follow us on the Belfast4Haiti5k twitter page
Also, feel free to drop us a mail: race@belfast4haiti.com
Registration for the event is NOW OPEN!!!!!!
Please note, while no age restriction is applied to the event, we advise that any participants under the age of 13 are advised to walk the course rather than run.
Sponsorship guide:
This is all very last minute.. but for those people taking part in the fun run who plan on getting sponsorship the best way to donate is via the justgiving website.
You can either get people to support you via the belfast4haiti main justgiving site OR you can set up your own. Just set up a page which pays directly to the DEC
If you do set up your own page, can we ask that you please drop us an email to let us know that you have done so? Obviously all the money is going to DEC and thats the important thing, but it would be good for us to be able to track and total all the sponsorship money so we know the real total raised.
